What is Green Bubbles?
Green Bubbles is a list of next generation text messaging experiences that you can get on your phone. These experiences use a new technology called RCS Messaging which upgrades the default messaging on your phone to act like an application using rich media, videos, action buttons, suggested chips, carousels, payments, verified senders and more. You can use these experiences by following the text instructions to send the contact to your device.
What is RCS Messaging?
RCS Messaging is the next version of SMS/MMS messaging being upgraded on mobile devices. Currently, RCS is being deployed on Android devices inside the Google Messages application. RCS allows you to build application-like experiences inside of the text messaging inbox and will be the new texting standard of the near future.
What happens if my phone doesn't have RCS Messaging enabled?
For those devices that don't support RCS Messaging yet, nativeMsg has a patented solution to give those users a great RCS experience. You will receive a SMS or MMS message to your device with a link to the RCS experience that runs in your browser. Just click on the link or preview image in the message and enjoy the identical RCS experience on your device.
Why the name Green Bubbles?
Our mission is to flip the script on green messaging bubbles. There has been a negative public image surrounding Android users on Apple iMessage group chats. These Android users are shown as green bubbles in these chats and are sometimes viewed as lesser. The ironic part is native RCS is currently only being deployed on Android devices. These users now have access to the most innovative messaging experiences on the market.
